Lemon Laws don't apply to commercial vehicles.

I heard that they are going to replace the transfer case, which is supposed to fix the problem.

Which engine? The Quantum or Dash at Dullas or the rig at National?

To ARFF-FF or anyone else who knows anything....

Who did the award for the two pumpers go to? Any info on specs etc?

Which engine caught fire and how bad was it? In station? On a run?

Dave from what I’m reading from E415's site, there are no injuries. Not so sure about the engine though...

Any scoop on the 4th station to be built at IAD. Supposed to be out near 606 where the huge mall is to be built? <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

That would be Engine 327 the reserve Engine that was pushed back into front line service at National Airport after Rescue Engine 335 the Quantum Rescue Pumper at National was wrecked last year.

Ok...for the update. Engine 327 was lost due to a fire on Monday morning, we will be in mourning for a while over this loss. No word on the cause yet.

We had RE 324 from Dulles for a couple of days and now we are running Arlington Engine 115 (105's reserve). We haven't heard anything official about the new units, we thought is was going to be Pierce, but that may or may not change...once I hear something I will pass it on. What was spec'd was a Pierce Arrow XT 4 man cab with a combo body on it (half rescue style compartments and half normal engine co. compartments) and low hose bed and cross-lays.

Station 304 is under construction and from what I hear is is near RT. 606, it should be completed by winter, I think. Our new station at DCA is coming along and we should be in it by July or August.

I was sorry to hear about 327. I was hoping to maybe get pictures of it when I was in town next week. The Engine guys at National deserve a break. Hope you end up with Arrow XT's they are nice rigs, those that I have seen. Would love to see how they turn out.

Strange the truck is still sporting the full markings. Anyone interested in a slightly used fire engine?

My immediate first thought on this rig was that it looks like the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree of Fire Engines. Poor thing.

Poor engine. Gonna need some SERIOUS TLC. Is the engine still being housed at the airport?

I am glad to see that thing gone, it was TOO BIG and was just junk. It was sold months ago for around $6500. I have no clue why they let it roll out with all the lettering on it...we heard it was a scrap company in New York that bought it, but it says it is in Kentucky.
