Scott, according to MY records, Evesham showed Ex-2218 being a 1979, not a 1989, from what I know, only 221 and 225 had rescue trucks...and 2258 is still In-Service with 225.

Good pump operator vision on the scene/stays out of traffic, extra compartment space, fairly short wheelbase and low hosebed even with a 1000 gallon tank.

Seagrave and Western States had a good working relationship and this combination had a strong customer base in the Pac NW. Seagrave would provide their custom chassis with cab to Western States, who did the intracab conversion and completed the rest of the apparatus to the customers' specs.

Here is some more stuff from the Pacific Northwest.



Fords Prarie/WA has this 1988 Volvo/White with Smeal bodywork. It has a 1250 gpm-pump and a 1000 gallon-tank. Smeal # 882080

Ladder 5 in Everett/WA was this unique truck. It is a 1984 Hendrickson 1871-W with bodywork from Thibault, 1500 gpm-pump, 500 gallon-tank, 65' ladder. The second rear axle was added in 1989.
