That is the modernized version. I remember the rig in its original configuration but with the light bar shown. What made this truck unique to me was its 185 hp Cummins diesel. Thanks for posting.

Celoron is at the southern end of Chautauqua Lake, Mayville is at the north end, about 15 miles away. I don't recognize the background as any place in Celoron, so maybe the shot was taken in Mayville.

Engine 1 in California City once operated this 1984 Ford C-8000 with bodywork from Superior (US). It has a 1250 gpm-pump and a 500 gwt.

Engine 57 from the Ventura Co FD/CA operated this 1982 Ford C-8000, also with Superior bodywork. 1250 gpm/750 gwt

Engine 30 from the Ventura Co FD was this 1975 Ford C with bodywork from Van Pelt. It also had a 1250 gpm-pump and a 750 gallon-tank.

Hose Wagon 10 in Phoenix/AZ once operated this 1965 Ford C with Boardman bodywork. It was equipped with a 500 gpm-pump. It looks like it was a tanker in its first life. Maybe Steve Loftin can shed some light here ?

Trench Rescue 8 in Phoenix operated another 1965 Ford C/Boardman combination. At first glance I thought, that this truck is the same as in the photo before + some additional cabinet boxes. But there are differences in the bodywork also.

Special Operations 11 in Oxnard/CA operated this 1978 Ford C with Supervac bodywork built in 1987. I assume, that the cab and chassis comes from a former engine.

I assume, same thing happened here with Squad 27 from LA City. The cab and chassis was built in 1972 (maybe with ALF bodywork, as the nameplate on the front indicates ?), the bodywork was done in 1984 by Royal.

Rescue 422 in 29 Palms/CA was or still is this 1987 Ford C-8000 with bodywork from Fire Bann. It has a small 100 gpm-pump and a 800 gallon-tank.

Bellevue/WA operated this 1978 Ford C/Pierce Suburban pumper, that later was locally converted into an air-truck.

Good stuff, Juergen! This rig has a Pierce Minuteman body. The Minuteman was a forerunner to today's rescue pumper. The full-depth compartments limited the tank to 500 gallons, but allowed much more equipment to be carried than in the typical Suburban body. Most Minuteman bodies were built on conventional Ford amd GM chassis but some were Ford C's and even a couple were built on custom chassis.

L.A. City converted four of their 14 1972 Ford C8000/ALF 1000/500 pumpers into Squads. Pictured in this great Chuck Madderon photo is ALF #2-1-3113, which had been originally assigned as Engine 106, is pictured here as Squad 27, and later became USAR 27 (Urban Search and Rescue). Here is a 1976 Duane Troxel shot of it running as Engine 106 (Pumper, when they had two piece engines, one lettered as the "Pumper" and the other piece the "Wagon".)
