I saw several of these last weekend when visiting family in Philly.

They appear so much more intimidating than the Crown Vic.

However, i have my personal opinions that Dodge should never have re-introduced the Charger as a four door sedan. It takes away fromthe muscle car name.
I have to be honest, I traded in my Mustang GT convertible for the new Charger and the Charger is just as fast and much roomier. The best thing for me is the GT was rear wheel drive, requiring me to have a second car for the winter. I bought the AWD Charger and it is great in the winter. I really love the car. As with the Mustang, every idiot kid in his souped up Accord pulls up to me at the lights wanting to race.

I saw it this morning coming off shift as I passed the sneaky ******* hiding in the weeds northbound at Farnum Pikes overpass. Its painted in the traditional RISP battleship grey with a spec LED bar and a bull of a push bar. I was told there are atleast 2 of them marked and 6 unmarked plus a Chrysler 300 Hemi in the RT 4 South County area.
Or how about, beware of your speed and don't break the law? Then you don't really need to worry about where they are parked. Or "hiding" as you put it. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />

Well, a little friendly info doesn't hurt. Everyone speeds a little, even if you don't notice it. He's just saying, watch your speed in that area. Now to his "sneeky *&$@^$!" comment... that's uncalled for and he deserves to get bashed for that comment by fellow LE on this board! Ahh you guys are just giving him a hard time, I know a lot of cops who are very proud of being sneaky ******* when it comes to finding the perfect place to hide while doing traffic enforcement <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Lol' />

If you're too sneaky a citizen might think you crashed your cruiser into the bushes and call 911 and soon you have the fire department and EMS blowing your cover <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Thats ok with the whole cop vs. fireman thing <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' /> . The CV Coffee Cup Clowns usually grin when they see me cruise by, but now the field may be level to an extent with the new Chargers. I'll just upgrade "Lord Vaders Chariot" (my personal ride) and see what happens. Its sad what options for police cars that you can plug and play in civilian cars.

Not to pour gas on the fire <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' /> , but the "sneaky *******" assigned the marked Charger is related to me by marriage and is called a such as term of endearment by family due to his previous work in the military. Maybe i should have clarified the comment.

So bash away, I'm a big boy......

Oh, I'm just busting your chops. I always think it's funny how people say we're "hiding" when were parked on the side of the road and they see us. Obviously we're not hiding very well. Like it matters?...I could stand in the middle of the street trying to hand out $100 dollar bills and people would speed right past me. Just last night I was driving up the freeway in the far right lane, a marked Border Patrol unit was right alongside me two lanes over (we were the only 2 cars there), and this guy sped right past us in the empty lane between our two marked cop cars. It's just soooooo easy sometimes, who needs to hide? <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Lol' />

I kinda figured you would be smart enough to not razz a firefighter anyway <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />

I've done that a hundred times where the cop/trooper would just sit there at 11pm at night and not even bother. you'd be amazed how many brother officers just sit and stare as a black on black on black Magnum SRT-8 rolls by at about hundred with room to go.

Speaking of my "Lord Vaders Chariot", it just got sold today (major reason is 3.50 a gallon gas) and thankfully for a decent profit. Will post some photos before I hand over the keys, but just to tease you what they werent going to catch <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />

2006 Magnum SRT-8 (Packages 1,2,3)

Black with full tint

Matte Blacked out B and C-Pillars

black background headlamps (like the SXT)

Chrysler Police package (rear and front wigwags, etc, all bought thru Mopar)

2 Rear Whelen Talon LED custom fit in lower valance

1 Upper windshield Talon LED

Not much else but was planning on having the car redone Hot rod flat black including the rims.

Bang on Crash Cop!

In by gone years when I was on the enforcement side, I also never bothered to hide. I was always in plain view. One would think that would deter violators ... hell no ... they would line up a dozen deep to get my autograph.

Crashresq21, too bad you sold your beast. I was going to invite to Ontario to test our new "30 mph over the posted speed limit law". <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smash.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smash' />

Now can we get this thread back on track and discuss Dodge Chargers serving as police or other emergency service vehicles.

Sorry Bob for getting off subject, but i doubt I'd need to come out there, I can vouch that I could test the new law and graduate "Magnum cum Swiftly" <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />
