I could, but then the copyright police would lock me up! I found it in a book.

The Arnold CF originally came in all red in 1977. It was painted white over red in 1984-1985 after they received their new air truck in 1984 with a white over red scheme and a Federal Aero-Dynic lightbar was added to the roof. Then in the late 80's it went to 4-Guys for a bumper extension/trashline, a generator and a few other modifications including a "Q".

Thanks Shoop, great job as usual. I haven't seen the original Arnold Mack picture in a while. Nice job on the others. Keep them coming. The Quail CF you posted was the one that was shown to the Chief in Pittsburgh back in the early 70's to consider. A friend of mine was a member their and tried to get them to consider, however, as we all know, they never made a purchase for one.

Wow--the shots on this last page are terrific! What a great selection of distinctive rigs--way too many to list!

Pat, Great stuff! I enjoy seeing the older rigs from Allegheny County.

I can help you with a couple things, my info shows:

Large - 1979 Hendrickson 1871C/Jaco 1500/2000 went to Neville Island, PA

Monroeville#4 - 1967 ALF 900 Series 500gal water

The Mount Oliver truck I don't have the specs, but it looks like a Grove ladder.

This Penn Hills rig was refurbed in the 90's with a roof and 4 door cab enclosure. Penn Hills No. 1 had 2 ALF's. This won was for sale recently, not sure if it sold. Companies 1 & 2 had ALF"S, 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7 had Macks.

The Monroeville ALF was the very last ALF to come off the assembly line in Elmira, NY. This engine was refurbed by New Lexington in the mid to late 90's. It was sold to Munhall a few years ago.
