Eddy, help a brother out - what was the pre-"343" Centrex exchange at 154 for BPD??

The years have erased that one from my hard drive <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

I want to say 838, but that might be a couple of exchanges ago. I know we still had some 534's when I came on.

KE6 1500 was the emergency number. The business number was KE6-1100.

Bill, you're right.

4510,11,12 IIRC were on BPD Centrex, 77 & 78 on BCH. I think 534 is right for BCH. It was BCH/UNH that changed prefixes after the great merger (not). . Duh. Hell, I still catch myself dialing 534-4444 when I need security at the HAC, along with 523-1212 (old MDC #) to get Staties in Southie. . Brain fart age now <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

I remember full-page ads in the Globe and Herald when BPD inagurated the 343 Centrex, under either DeGrazia or Joe Jordan. 1972-3??

I saw a photo of a marked cruiser somewhere that was obviously pre- 9-1-1, and it had 838-1212 on the trunk.
