We had no real plan as to where we were going except that we were going to start at Singer's Pierce dealership. After shooting a few new rigs there we went into Henrico County.

First up is the rigs from Singer's.

Chesterfield County is getting ready to place 5 new Enforcers in service at Engines-2,3,6,8, & 9.

Actually there are 6 new Enforcers, the other one is going to Engine-12.

TWH, a producer of museum-quality diecast models is making this very engine in 1/50th scale. Very pricey, but the TWH models are absolutlely fantastic detail and quality-wise.

I was wondering about that...I thought all the Mack/Grummans were being retired retired...

I believe that'll leave Engine 10 as the last CF in front line service in the county.
Engine 1 to all units, we've got a glow in the sky!

Actually, E10 has been on E1's old KME for about a year now.

I would suspect you'll see at least a couple of the Mack/Grummans hang around the Training Division, but I think we'll see soon!

John, thanks for the pix from work!

Do I need glasses, or do all those Henrico County trucks have all amber lights on them? I've checked on two different computer screens and the lights look amber on both of them.

no they are all red lights. I see what you are talking about. I think it is just from the ambient lighting but I can assure you they are all red

I guess we both need glasses because they look amber to me as well.

Yea, they're red. The color of the rigs is much brighter in these photos than in real life, I think perhaps some of the color settings might be just a little skewed, making the red lights appear amber. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />

They are all red lights. I manipulated the image to try to give the true color of the rigs. This is the same photo before I changed it. It rig looks more yellow then lime green. While the prints from the un-retouched digitals come out with the true colors it doesn't show up on the computer screen with the true color. I didn't even pay attention to the color of the light bar lense being changed.
