Tower Ladder 138 appears to be the first unit to receive one of the new towers. Photo are on Seagraves website, under new deliveries. Looks very sharp!!!

Just looked at the new TL. How did they get around the reflective stupid ass chevrons on the back??. Even the new Chicago pumpers have them and they usually always try and play by their own rules. Also speaking of rules have FDNY companies been wearing the safety vests on accidents? I have yet to personally see any pictures.

Flaps under the rear step?
Are these flaps manufactured at FDNY, or are they purchased through another Company? It looks as if the ones on the new apparatus are plain, but some are customized (Rescue Co.)
Any idea where they get them done?
Thanks in advance.

Sure looks sharp. Can't tell from the photos but it looks like Seagrave redesigned or hid the cables within cat tracks for the aerial. Can anyone get a closeup? I recall their demo unit had some of the wiring sticking out.
People complaining about spam in the spam mail box... Huh, what'll they think of next?

The original demo unit had cat tracks and was rejected. They went back to reel and drum system presently in use.

Thanks for the info. I know Seagrave wanted to try something new but since the old system ain't broke, it didn't need to be fixed. BTW how many TL are on order?

Great shots--that one from the Mack factory is very cool--a little bit of history, not to be seen again.
Are the Mack L's Boston pieces?

I believe I heard Twenty-two are on order, with two per month to be delivered.
They look like Boston Wagons to me.
