For those who are wondering why EST 33 is running in a diffirent rig in this photo compared to the photos posted here of EST 145 and EST 85 is that EST 33 averages so many calls a shift that the wear and tear and the beating it took daily finally caught up to it and the rig was placed out of service with no EST's in resrerve and the new EST's not yet ready to be delieverd they were given a patrol to use.

But techincally, wouldn't it then be Patrol 33?

All these years, and I have 1 picture of a EST, taken about two weeks after EST 129 went in service. ESTs are my "Elanor".

I find this EST vs Patrol thing facinating. I was going to ask about why the different rigs, thanks everyone for answering already.

A few questions: who is building the new EST's? Do you know what the specs are? How many were ordered? When will they be delivered?

KME is building the skid units while a local company is building the body. I believe 12 units were ordered. Heres a KME news release on it:
