Nice catch, as I believe this one is soon to be going out of service, to be replaced by the Spartan/Alexis that was on display in Alexis' booth at FDIC.

Yeah, that's what I heard. Needless to say, I was glad to have gotten it.

Do you know, since I gather you're from the area, is there any time where there might be some staff in Tampico? I'd really like to shoot their department one of these days, but I know they're volunteer.

Tampico I don't know so well, but I the company I sell rigs for does business with them. We'll see if I can find something out for you. The tongue in cheek remark was due to the fact that I sold the unit due in Prophetstown. They're a great bunch there.



If you ever want to head north, I'm in the Rockford area. I could probably help you get some shots in some volunteer departments up this way that aren't staffed.

Okay, sounds good. Lately, I've been trying to shoot that general area, so any help would be appreciated. I have been making the trek from Racine, WI, so it's always nice to find departments that are staffed. Primarily I'm trying to get some older apparatus from the 70's and 80's so any advice would be appreciated. Otherwise though, I'll keep you posted when I'm planning another trip.
