Whats in the Diamond Plate Box on the roof of the cab???
Has Seagrave already altered the design of the Marauder II, or are the single-arm horizontal windshield wipers something that was special-ordered for the FDNY rigs?
What's with the hunk of metal on the driver's side where the other half of the window should be? Is it the air filter since there is the compartment where it normally should be? Oh, and I also see that it no longer says "FIRE" on the side back compartments. It says "FDNY" now. That's new.....
Great shots, thanks.
thanks for the great pics of the new FDNY rig <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/luxhello.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />. The front of the cab looks great, but I dont like the raised roof cabs <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

The hunk of metal is the intake for the engine.

From what I have been told this is the first of the 69 engines that are coming in over the next three years. Not sure when the truck will start to come in.
The first new marauder going into the field will be assigned to 88 Engine from what i was told. Also if you look under the hosebed, you will see that there is no compartment for spare cylinders. That was eliminated to accomidate an 85 gallon fuel tank. All fdny engines already have flometers and the pumps are 2000g.p.m. (previousy were 1000g.p.m.) Also, no more detroit engines, they are going with cummins.
Was the Pa-300 back in these rigs or was it the EQ2B?

I might be wrong but by looking at the driver area...you can run the air horn at the steering wheels center and there looks to be a foot pedal on the bottom left corner. Possibly to run the EQ2B??
Well thats how its always been the driver and officer have had a foot pedal for the electronic siren....
first one to E3.
they look ok but it dosent matter ow they look as long as the rigs do their jobs. its just goona look weird in the streets of nyc man do i miss the macks
Some one was asking for the inside of the new rig. This is what I was able to get today. Not the best.
