Jesse,

The rig you have posted here is actually the 1979 Hahn 1500/1000 which ran as Engine 242. This rig was traded to Northeast Fire in 1990 when the company replaced it with a 1987 Sutphen. I believe this rig was sold to Hilltown Twp. Fire in Bucks County. I notice on their webpage they list a 1978 Hahn which was refurbed in 1990. Is this the rig from Carlisle, or another engine? If it is not the same rig, does anyone from the Bucks County area know what happened to this rig?

The real Engine 142 was a 1975 Hahn 1000/300 which is shown below.

Notice the difference in compartment layout. The 1975 was a "borough" piece and did not have hard sleeves. Below is the 1975 Hahn after it was sold to Three Springs, Huntington County in 1987. Does anyone know where this rig went after Three Springs sold it? I sent them an email but have not received a response.

Also, we are still in service. We went thru a merger with the Empire Fire Co. in 2006 to become the Empire Friendship Firefighters Assc. Co. 45. Although we no longer use the number 42, we still consider our history to be an important part of the service that we provide today.

Listed as East Franklin Fire Co[/quote]

Here is another Township thing that can confuse people. FRANKLIN TWP - Somerset County has a section called SOMERSET. The SOMERSET Fire - Rescue Company is Station 56. They are ONE of FOUR Fire Companies that make up FRANKLIN TWP FIRE DIST 1. The whole Township of Franklin is made of 4 Distircts.

District 1

26 Elizabeth Avenue

28 Millstone Valley

44 Middlebush

56 Somerset Fire Rescue

District 2

Franklin Park

Griggstown

Little Rocky Hill

District 3

25 Community

27 East Franklin

District 4

39 Kingston

Let me see what I can find.

Frank - just to make it clear...

The Hahn is Bradley Gardens Fire Company - Station 21 Somerset County. It is Bridgewater Twp Fire District 2.

Frank, were you the Frank from Edge Hill who found me in Port Jervis Saturday? BTW, it is Jervis not Jarvis, a common error by those not from the area.

No. That was not me. I did find out yesterday that Edge Hills Imperial Aerial (replaced the Hahn)

went to Franklin Springs GA where it was damaged by a tornado, and then replaced by Green Ridge's Hahn)

Frank,

That was Edgley's (Bucks County) Imperial ladder, not Edge Hill that was destroyed by the tornado.
