I grew up in the town next to Oak Lawn. It was a real treat seeing that old Squad 1 running up and down Cicero Ave. You could here the engine noise from blocks away. That Squad was rehabbed from an old engine (possible 24 or 29).

What's the purpose of what appears to be breathing air bottles on the high-side of the Washington IL Pierce?

Maybe the unit has a Cascade system on it and they put the bottles on top so it dont take up too much compartment space <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/shrug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/shrug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> |
