This rig is rather intresting the company called Firbreak which is run by a former Monrovia Fire Chief is a contract agency employed by AIG. In the event of a wildfire such as the most recent Ststion fire and clients of AIG who have insurance premiums over a certain amount I believe over 25G they will respond and provide structual defense by usage of spraying the fire retardent phoscheck.

I was wondering what this 'department' was about, I was on a business trip in Anaheim last month and saw one of their units in the parking lot of Downtown Disney last month. Very interesting concept.

If anyone gets the tv channel BET they are airing on wednesdays nights at 10PM/9C a very excellent tv show called First In following the day to day operations of the Compton Fire Dept. http://www.bet.com/OnTV/BETShows/firstin/default.htm?

I've been watching "First In" for several weeks now and am really enjoying it. Great fleet of Arrow XT's! Lots of similarities between Compton and where I work.

what are the toggle switches below each discharge gate?

what is that pipe that runs below the steamer connection? It seams to be another intake?

Not sure what the toggle switches are, but the pipe is connected to the outlet of the pressure relief valve. It probibly is just there to redirect the excess water away from the pump operator.

Could it be for CAFS?

It does look like it is CAFS equipped so the toggles for that would make sense...

The pipe for the intake looks like it comes off the pressure relief valve of the intake. Could simply be a way to re-route water away from the E/O or maybe back in the tank although it is rather low for that.

Any chance Reserve Engine 812 was formerly E83?

Could be either 82s or 83s by the looks of it. They were twins.
