Faith was next. We also had difficulties tracking down a driver. Fortunately, one of the ladies in the local soda shop is married to one.

From Faith, we went to South Salisbury. The two guys at the station were most helpful.

Our last stop on Friday was at East Spencer. The chassis of this rig was built by Grumman (HME private label cab) and later completed by KME after they purchsed the old Grumman factory.

Anyone have a clue as to the origin of this one and the foam tank size?

I think I remember one of the members saying this was also refurbed in-house when they got it with some minor compartment upgrades. Also, wherever the rig formerly served, it was Unit #80-74 according to a plate in the cab.

This truck is X-Greensboro Engine. It was donated several years ago.
