Engine 44 / Truck 25 is a very old firehouse located in the Roland Park section of Baltimore. Truck 25 has typically been assigned a low-profile apparatus so that it would make the tight vertical fit into that fire station. I remember growing up in that area and T25 operating a mid-mount 85' (?) open-cab Peter Pirsch ladder and after that one of the rear-mount single axle ALF Ladder Chiefs was used before the Seagraves started showing up for duty as T25.
I may be wrong on this, but I recall hearing from someone that 44/25's house can't be really remodeled to make it more accessible for larger rigs due to it's historical significance--I think it's on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a great looking house.
