Looks like you got pretty lucky Mike! Sorry, I wasn't able to make it out at all this weekend. Tomorrow I might possibly go out for a little while.

Annapolis, MD Truck 39

1991 Simon Duplex/LTI 100’ TDA (original trailer was a 1974 Hahn)

Ex-Arlington, VA & Ex-Hollywood, MD

This rig served on 9-11 at the Pentagon. An Annapolis firefighter told us the tiller cab had to be cut off the rig so it could fit through the tunnel at the Pentagon.

This was incredibly frustrating .... didn't even know this rig was around.. delivered last week and not yet in service ... the FFs couldn't pose it because a Bomb Tech was not available.... it was all we could do to even get it pulled out of quarters .. so this is on the "future shooting" list!

Why a used rig for Annapolis T39? Is this a dedicated reserve rig for the city only or is there a new truck company? Just kind of interesting they would go that route.

Corrections welcome and info appreciated.

Annapolis bought (or maybe leasing?, or borrowing?) Truck 39 from Pierce. As it was explained to me, AFD hopes to purchase a new Pierce TDA in FY 2011 so this rig was just a "stopgap" temporary measure.

Truck 39 was Purchased from Hollywood. They Own it. And might keep it as a Reserve when they get the new rig. Mike did the Guys at 35 say what there gonna do with the current ESU35?

Did you happen to notice if they still have 3 1/2" supply hose reduced to 3" couplings?
