So in Robertson they switched from Type 1's to Type 2's?

Neal,

They run both in Robertson County (Frazer type I's and Wheeled Coach type II's).

Yay! My truck. Just FYI we are redeploying our special operations units. This month MR26 will become a field unit due to rescue staffing shortages. Also in April we will be moving other Spec-Ops units around. Medic 8 (Tactical) is staying put with Quint 19 (or is it ENG + LAD 19 now I cant remember). Our unit - Medic 10 (HazMat/Bomb Squad) is moving to MR30 with ENG42 across the street from ABIA. Med-Rescue 30 (Rescue) is moving to Medic 21 with ENG 902(?). Medic 21 (Field) is moving to Medic 10 with ENG25 as a field unit. MR01 and MR17 (Rescue) are staying put in their stand-alone EMS stations. Everyone is taking their current apparatus with them and they will re-numbered to match the new station assignments. Not sure of exact date however this will all occur in April in conjunction with the next bid process.

Ninjamedic - whew! Sounds like us here at SEMS. A lot of moving around. I got so confused earlier I forgot what unit I was.

Yeah it gets even worse when I float to a field unit. We used to differentiate shifts on the 12-HR units by designating the day trucks "Medic XX01" and the night trucks "Medic XX02" like Medic 1801 or Medic 202 so EMS Communications and scheduling could more easily keep track of which units still needed to get back to station for crew change. They just recently did away with that and old habits die hard. Medic 10, er 702, correction medic 7 responding blah blah blah is gets really confusing at night <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Also, I don't know if it's been noted elsewhere in this thread, but as of January 1st of 2009, Texas DSHS Provider Number must be

displayed on all ambulances and affiliated vehicles. That's why you see the TX##### on every Texas EMS vehicle now.

The rule states the number must be displayed very visibly, but doesn't specify a location, so you'll see them vary in regards to placement on the vehicle, in different colors, etc depending on the agency.

You'll notice that this unit doesn't have the GSA tell-tale off set rear doors....
