This weekend I took a trip to visit my in-laws, who live in rural Liberty County, Florida. It's a pretty area, lots of farming. Of interest to me though was Telogia Creek (Tel-o-gee if you're a local), a swampy meandering creek that's about a mile from their farm. I fired up the Mule, and rode down to try and get some pictures about 30 or 40 minutes before the sun set. Hopefully these turn out. Enjoy!
How about some senic shots?

I had to wade out into the murk to get this shot to work out like I wanted. Braving the leeches and critters, I got the result I wanted.
This small boat belongs to the gentleman who owns the property I was riding around in. Don't know if he uses it often, but it caught my attention.
Finally, one of the calves they recently picked up was kind enough to pose for her photo...
Well if you want to start that kinda BULLshe-at, talk to Ray - Back in early October I think he was on the farm that's about 200 yards down the road from my house to "visit" the ladies.

These show how cold it has been the past few days here in the North East part of Mass on Plum Island.

Very little damage in my town, all around us in all four major direction there is destruction and folks without power ect. One of the security officers who works for me has called out for 3 days straight now, her 19 y/o son who is a FF came home after many hours (24+) of helping on several rescues of older folks ect. Reporting trees wires ect crashing down all around, first thing he did when he got home was to hug his mom and tell how scared he had been.
I don't care who gruff or burly one is - mom always makes things better. Heard MEMA or FEMA was set up in the Northern Berkshires

The river below my house flooded, froze, then receded leaving this interesting scene. At work the river washed out part of the drive way forcing us to close the main entrance to campus (again). I decided early in my trip that today I was going to shoot entirely in Raw - seems to have made a slight improvement in my photos, but also has increased my processing time.

True. Ed what type of camera are you using? The last shot you had was very good. |
