this one is a 1999 ALF/3-D, originally a Stock unit for the NC dealer.

That's interesting, the info off the ALF panel on the drivers door stated 2003. Is the #303728 for LTI or American LaFrance.?

The other truck, I found the year on the state inspection.

the 0303728 is the LTI serial #. I took the year from the LTI list, sometimes they're off by a couple of months, so a late 03 lists as an 04. I will make the correction. for ALF's built post 1996, the last 6 digits of the VIN # is the American La France serial number. All the other manufacturers list serials in some sort of recognizable sequence. the ALF serial numbers do not. they are simply VIN numbers, and went down the line in order, whether or not it was a fire truck or a Freightliner delivery truck.
