Show those rigs off in fairfax as much as possible arlington, certain folks (from FFX) can only turn a blind eye for so long. Just cause they look like "80's looking shit" (not my quote, but someone's quote for sure), does not mean they are not great rigs that we can most definately put to good use in fairfax. All we have to do is hop on that contract and not change a thing but the lettering.

Splinthead, The funny thing is Arlington based thier body design after Fairfax's in the late 90's. Look at 9 and 15's pumpers which I think was the last of FX's E-Ones. Plus the ladder to the hosebed was standard on FX rigs in the 90's.

When Warren Isman was the Chief in FXCO, whatever they bought, everyone else up near NOVA would follow suit.

My how times have changed, unfortunately. All u hear now is stories of folks visiting to check out our (FFX) new bus mirrors and velocity chassis, and leaving stating that they would never have anything like that in thier department. Funny how things work out. Now we (FFX) are just the local oddballs......for now. When majority rules becomes fashionable again hopefully we will get back on track.

What do you think JR....nice engines huh???

Sure are for Arlington. Very nice indeed. A little pricy considering other rigs sold in the area that have a little more options.
Depending on what you are trying to do with the Engines (area needs or etc.) I am sure the foot print or base could be tweaked to work for anyone! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Its funny, When E One came out with the low body mounted mirrors everyone hated them. I think they were first on hushs(don't qoute me on that). Everyone wanted the west coast style door mounted mirror. I think people called the new mirror "bus mirrors". My how times go round and round.
Personally speaking, and after seeing the new Arlington rigs up close, I think they did a great job specing these rigs. The only complaint I heard from the fellas at 1 was it's a little tight up front for the officer. They remind me a lot of Engine 410 in terms of design and shorter wheel base (though I believe 410 is a Dash) as well as the new rigs delivered to PG County 9 and 7.

See post 2476 I think it is. I posted a Hush with the bus type mirrors on the cab. There are others near that one as well showing Hushes.
