I was in Radio Shack yesterday and saw a VHS player that hooks up to your computer via a USB port for $100. It looked similar to one I bought a year ago that didn't work well. The tracking on it was horrible, I may pick this one up and try it out.

Lt. Joe Principio from 75 Engine is still on the job after 31 years, and has been the Captain of 58 Truck for the past 14 years. In 2000 the city built 75/33/19 a new firehouse on the corner of Walton Ave. and Cameron Place. The old firehouse that was in the movie was rehabbed and is now an FDNY EMS Station.
The only MARC in 46 ENGINE!

That Providence video is GREAT!!!!! [/quote] I always thought so too- there was more in it, oldies & a segment on Rescues (Ambulances) but I had to edit out cause it made it too long to post on YouTube. I knew I had it somewhere in the collection, just happened to find it last nite.
Last one for today, E-58/L-26 "The Fire Factory"

keep them coming!
Dynamite stuff ..
The Providence video was done around 1990 or so. There have been many discussions about the Outlet fire, the one with smoke. Many believe it was a backdraft and others a collapse. The last fire was occurred on one of the coldest nights of that year. I was reffing a hockey game and when I came out of the rink, I could see the glow from two cities away. The Lt. on Engine 8 telling his driver where to pull up is now a Division Chief and a great guy. His son is on FDNY and is on an Engine in the north Bronx. The guy that shot the video is still a camera man for the same NBC channel and is another great guy. To this day he is still getting great shots of fires in RI. Great job with all of the videos.
