Coldenham,Ny 1990 Pemfab/Sutphen 1500/1000 Eng-201 Ron Bogardus collection
This unit has since been retired from Coldenham and placed in service as Engine 252 with the Bullville Fire District, in Battalion II (Orange County, NY). Below is the unit as it appears with Bullville, photo credits to Michael Prohira and OCNYfire.com
Ithaca NY recently took delivery of a pair of Pierce Arrow XT's. They both have a 1500 pump and a 1000 gwt. The one I shot was at IFD headquarters, Engine 901, Pierce Job #21528-01.

I also drove by the fire station in Varna NY, right outside of Ithaca, and found this FL/E-One rescue outside.

White Plains,Ny Fairview FD 1970 Duplex/Sanford/Grove 100' mm 1000/0 Ron Bogardus collection
This rig replaced Fairview's famed Ahrens Fox Quad with the 70ft. midship aerial. It didn't stick around too long and was replaced in the early 1980's by a Pierce Arrow LTI rearmount. A friend of mine who is a paid firefighter in Fairview related that this truck was severly underpowered making it a dog on the hills around the district. Fairfiew had two other Sanford's both engines. The first, a 1965 was rebuilt by Pierce with a 50ft. Telesquirt sometime around 1980 and retired in the mid-1990's. The second was a 1972; it too was rebuilt in the early 1980's with a new E\-One body. I am not aware of how much longer this engine served before being retired. Must have been neat though in the early '70's to see a whole fleet of custom Sanfords <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
