A lot of what this boils down to is the difference between a rig that served in Massachusetts versus one that served in North Carolina. RUST. The Concord rig has NONE, never did. The other one was not as fortunate. As I recall, TJ said that it wasn't in condition to be restored so he did it his way. Since there are so many surviving original or restored to original rigs just like it, I really don't see the issue. It wasn't like it was the only rig of its kind and he made a monster truck out of it!

The rest of those posted tonight are from the past week or so. Dan was back down here for the holidays, so we hit a few places, but the weather wasn't always the best.
Covington now runs three of these rigs, two from Station 1 and the third from Station 2. Ladder 2 was purchased in 2001.
From there, we headed farther north into Tennessee. We stopped at quite a few stations and saw a bunch of cool rigs to shoot, but could not find anyone to pull them outside. We found a Hahn and an Aerialscope at one place, a PemFab/E-One and a Mack CF at another, and a third place that had a couple Maxims and a tandem-axle WLF that may have come from Stoneboro, PA. Our last stop proved more fruitfull.
