Heres an oldie but a goodie from Hornick Iowa. Found this rig along US 98 near Fairhope, Alabama.

If Scott does not mind, I thought that I would revive this thread with some current Iowa apparatus, that was taken by Paul Barrett and me.
First up is Des Moines, IA We have been there twice, once in 2005 and this fall. Most of the current apparatus is built by Toyne, with the exception of some of the aerials. E-1 1998 ALF Eagle/Toyne 1500/500
Engine 2 is a 2002 Spartan Gladiator/Toyne 1500/500
E-3 2000 Spartan/Toyne 1500/500
E-4 1996 HME 1871/Toyne 1500/500 2005 photo
This unit is being replaced by a new CAFS engine. The FF's were in CAFS training when we were there this fall.

Engine 5 2002 Spartan Gladiator/Toyne 1500/500
Engine 6 will likely be replaced by one of the yet to be delivered CAFS engines.

Ladder 1 is a 2001 Sutphen 1500/300/100'
In 2005 Ladder 3 was using this 1999 ALF/Toyne/AI quint 1500/300/75' MM
The current L-3 is a 2004 ALF/LTI 1500/300/75'
Ladder 3's twin is in service at Station 6 2004 ALF/LTI 1500/300/75' mm
This Sutphen tower was in reserve status and being used at Station 5. It is now in service in Onamia, MN
1984 Sutphen 1500/250/100'
Also running out of Station 5 is this reserve Haz Mat unit 1994 Mack MR/Toyne
The current Haz Mat unit runs out of the downtown station. It is so long it needs it's own zip code..
2001 Spartan/Toyne
Ladder 8 runs a 1999 ALF/Toyne/AI 1500/300/75'
Last one for tonight is the Technical Rescue unit. It runs from Station 4, and is cross staffed by Station 4 FF's
