Rick: It was not operable that day.
Sorry:
Thanks Don for clearing that up.
Next up, in no particular order is the Arnolds Park-Okoboji Fire, that covers the two villages. E-493 is a 1993 Spartan/Luverne 1250/1000/20 The FF who helped us did not know the reason behind the color of the truck, other than it was purchased new by the department.
The department operates two rescues. R-595 is a 1999 Ford F-550/Amtech
The department recieved this aerial in 2008. It was specifically purchased for the narrow roads, in the residential areas of this resort town.

R-497 2004 International 4400/Amtech
Just up the road is Spirit Lake.
L-1 2005 Spartan Gladiator/Crimson 1500/500/10/103' This unit was the first Crimson aerial built.
Engine 1 2001 Sterling/Central States 1500/1000
Rescue 1 1998 Chevy 7500/Amtech
This unit as well as the others did not have a unit number, so I will call it Mini 1.
1995 Ford 350/Toyne 500/300
I know that there are others, but the first and only Pierce Multicab that I have ever seen, is in Estherville, IA
We arrived at this station a bit early in the day and the photo reflects the low angle of the sun. 2007 KW T300/Pierce 1250/1000/25
Tnk-64 2005 FL M2 106/Midwest 250/2000
At one time Midwest Fire was using the original Luverne building, with several ex Luverne employees. I understand that the company has moved to a larger facility.
Blairsburg, IA is along the I-35 corridor. I won't tell you our secret for finding a FF, other than it involved a Grain Elevator.
E-40-50 2006 FL M2/Smeal 1250/3000
E-40-51 1991 GMC/Smeal 750/1250
The rest of these were taken at the 2007 Iowa FF's convention, in Forest City. Some of the trucks were locked up, or otherwise un-attended, so information is spotty.
