Neat shot, not every day you catch two towers sitting side by side in one station like that

Truck Co. 04 ('01 Pierce Dash 85' ladder tower with All-Steer) was bought from the Sam Bass F.D. I believe. That may explain the reason why one is 100' and one is 85'.
Corrections welcome.

Roto Rays in Texas? Hell yah, post them! Joe
My question is, to anyone out there that knows, why did they buy the Tower from Sam Bass FD? Why did Sam Bass even need a tower? Does Sam Bass FD even still exist?

Will Sam Bass had 2 Towers (Truck 1 & Truck 2). Back in 2005 RRFD need a second truck and Sam Bass I believe either gave or sold them Truck 1. When RRFD got Truck 1, they also had to take over the payments for it was well.
Yes Sam Bass still in exist. They run out of 2 stations.
My question is, to anyone out there that knows, why did they buy the Tower from Sam Bass FD? Why did Sam Bass even need a tower? Does Sam Bass FD even still exist?
Round Rock has a 2008 Spartan/Crimson engine on order. I'm not sure why they went with Crimson. Since they run pretty much all Pierce.

I'm pretty sure that price/value/bid, along with recent service issues, and Round Rock already having some experience with Crimson (technically, when they were "Quality"), all factor in. Seth Granville
