Bruce 1974 Amer LaFr, 1000 series, canopy cab, 100 ft midmount steel aerial ladder, delvd 3-31-74, 250/250, $80,000, tenth Amer LaFr product purchased by co., housed 6-8-74 in conjunction with 100th Anniv, 14 inch bell mounted on bumper from first ladder truck-1920 Amer LaFr, 350 HP 871 Detroit diesel motor, 5-spd man trans, built from as many local products as possible-Amer LaFr ordered chassis steel-diamond floor plate-All-Grip non-slip metal turntable from Alan Wood Steel Co.-Lee donated six tires-C&D donated batteries-Young windows at Brook Rd and Caldwell Ln finished cab with tinted glass windows-Hale provided 200 gpm booster pump, 6 KW Onan generator, on 11-7-75 in service at large blaze at garment factory on E.7th Av-3 men were on tip of main ladder-heat became so intense turnout gear caught fire and melted paint on truck, re-painted 1986-88 period, in 1991 main ladder refurbed, telescopic stem light mounted on cab roof, in PAFM 7-98 pg 36 offered for sale-negotiable, in Jan/Feb 2000 FIRE APPARATUS pg 31 offered for sale-reduced asked $30,000, in 2002 sold to museum in Lafayette,IN.

Here are two pictures taken from the Mulvane, KS Fire Department website showing one very similar to this. The Stem Light could also have a rotating light on it instead of the strobe, Scott Matson (Tascman) posted a squad truck from Quakertown that had one of the rotating version on it.
