You're right. This is the 1966 International/FTI that they had - 1000 gpm - PP #66814 - ex Engine 45. No thanks on the trade. The apparatus doesn't talk back and it's a lot easier to deal with.
I REMEMBER ENGINES 30 AND 31'S HAVING ONE OF THESE 1970 CHEVYS BACK ABOUT 1977. I BELIEVE THERE WERE ONLY 5. I'VE SEEN PHOTOS OF 8, 14 ,28,44,49, 56 AND OTHERS RUNNING ONE. THEY MUST HAVE MADE THE ROUNDS.

There were nine of these delivered. Original assignments were: Engines 2, 8, 16, 27, 30, 31, 43, 44, and 50. At that time Engines 8, 31, 43, and 50 were two piece companies. For Engines 8, 31, and 50 this piece ran as the wagon and for Engine 43 it ran as the pumper.
The engine in this photo, PP #70444, was assigned to Engine 43 when new. It then went to Engines 19, 28, and 33 in that order.
