once again Fdny fire houses
No way were we in da Bronx then.

Actually it was in Manhattan since we had just come over from the Coast Guard Base on Governors Island and stop by the house. I am thinking it was Engine 6 on Liberty St. and the Truck Co was about three or four doors down the street. The back of the station , kitchen and day room area, had a common way connecting the Engine and Truck quarters. This may have been another Engine Co. but 6 sticks in my mind as I was assigned to Engine 6 back in Richmond at the time. There were several businesses in between them.

Ok, I think that I have found what I was looking for. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/computer.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Computer' />

Still would love to see a photo showing Engine 6 and Truck 10 in the same or separate shot.

Back in 1966-67, Engine 6 was located at 113 Liberty St. Truck 10 was located at 117 Liberty St. This was before the WTC. Engine 10 was at 73 Water St.

When the city redeveloped that part of town, Engine 6 moved to Beekman with Engine 32, which was later disbanded and a new house was built for Engine 10 and Truck 10, where it is now at 124 Liberty St.

This old house was separated by a business and had a common connection at both rear portions of Engine 6 and Truck 10, so the members could go to the others house without walking out on the street.

Lets see if I can do this off the top of my head...

Broad Channel in Queens

West Hamlton Beach in Queens

Roxbury in Queens

Rockaway Point in Queens

Point Breeze in Queens

Gerritsen Beach in Brooklyn

Richmond in Staten Island

Oceanic in Staten Island

Edgewater Park in the Bronx

Vollie companies in Queens and Brooklyn also have ambulances. There are numerous vollie ambulance units in every borough.

Mark,

NJMedic nailed'em all. And let me set the record straight, I don't have any problems with volunteer firemen. But when they volly in a CITY that has a PAID Fire Department, then I have a PROBLEM!!!!!

I don't have a new pic of Rescue 3's house, but I did drive by last weekend and wasn't much change from the shot I took in November. Looks like it is all closed in now. The fence is so high I couldn't see much else.
