Sr, The Hahn is still in the process of being restored. We haven't pushed it because of the construction of the new station 10 which the Hahn will become the center piece of the main lobby. I will be at East Penn next week to see how she doing and I will get some pics.
I put a few miles on her back in the late 80s before the EOne Hurricane's showed up in force.
My thanks to Shawn Bliss (a firepics member) who is stationed at OWL Station 512 who took the time to move the reserve ladder from Dale City/OWL around for photos.
Can someone please clarify for me who actually owns this truck? I thought it was a joint venture between Dale City and OWL. This evening I noticed that the ladder sign has both, however the door emblem is Dale City and Dale City is also on the front of the truck. Thanks for any additional info.

Mike it is in fact a joint venture. Dale City purchased the vehicle, we paid for lighting upgrades and other things at AFE. Our shop also did most of the equipment mounting and it is stored there when not in use. As for the signage, my tongue hurts a little from biting it.

That doesn't sound all that joint if you ask me. I am sure both companies entered into the agreement for reasons that make sense to them. No need to further explain.

Dave, trust me it is very much a joint venture considering I was a very major part of this. What Dozer doesn't tell you is each department has an equal financial part of this to include the upgrades, maintenance, and ect. The vehicle is titled, and insured by Dale City which requires their name on it per state law.
To show unity both department's name are on the sign board. Now most look beyond the boarders of the "sandbox" and except it. One day Tim will see that too.

I still love ya Dozer but come on guy let it go
Well that sounds a more joint than it originally did.
Having lived in VA for 14 years I understand state law and understand that in many areas VA law is screwed up. In this part of the country they would sign the vehicle much better to signify the joint venture. Somewhere on the rig would be wording about the towns the rig is serving and if it is split between two departments they would both be identified.

I'm sorry, you are right sir. I didn't go into enough detail to clarify the equal financial part of it. And I was going to put in about the title/insurance thing and completely forgot!
I make the dig about the signage because I think it would look great with a little more bird on it!!!!

Lake Jackson VFD in Prince William recently placed a new brush truck in service. Brush 7 is a 2009 Chevrolet 2500 built by M&W. The skid unit from Lake Jackson's old brush truck was used - 1994 with a 250/150.
