A very durable, dense foam. The name escapes me, it's some sort of plastic. Seth Granville

Cool.... I will have to look into it for our next truck.
My question is, to anyone out there that knows, why did they buy the Tower from Sam Bass FD? Why did Sam Bass even need a tower? Does Sam Bass FD even still exist?
Originally Sam Bass thought they were going to need two trucks to get ISO Class 2 (before my time). Well we didn't need two trucks so we sold what is now Truck 4 to Round Rock. I think Round Rock has another Quint on order and Truck 4 is going to go into reserve status once the new Quint arrives. Sam Bass is a combo department with two engines staffed by 3 24/7. www.sambassfd.com

I didn't hear about the Quint yet (looking foward to it-hope Crimson got the bid), but I thought they were going to be ordering a heavy rescue....do you have any info on that? Seth Granville
