The New Market tanker was a converted fuel tanker, placed in service around 1969. All of these were replaced in the 70's.

It's amazing how many different vehicles were used to haul water 30-50 years ago.

The Ford C/Young later served Buchanan Valley VFC in Adams Co.,PA.

During 1994, the tanker was involved in a controversial accident, which resulted in the rig being totalled and replaced by the current 95 Peterbilt/4-Guys.

This one finally went out of service. It served Baltimore City as a reserve until a few months ago. It's now in a junk yard along Route 1 in Elkridge jacked up on blocks!!

Juergen,

Bay Dist., Brunswick rigs are still in service, Halfway's is 1 of the last CF's in the area.

Chestnut Ridge Seagrave now with Rural Security VFC, Lebanon Co.,PA.

Maugansville's tanker was rebuilt in 1992 by Interstate, they stretched chassis into a tandem axle to fit a new Techweld 2700 gal.tank. Replaced a couple years ago, sold to Dallas,PA.

I think the 10TH District rig was recently replaced.

Correct, it was sold through a broker about 2 years ago. Replaced with a really neat Arrow XT.

Bay District's is soon to be replaced with a straight Tanker and another Engine. This will be placed as a reserve unit to be used between thier two stations.
