I'm wondering if anyone has a picture of the Courier, Ward LaFrance's Brush Truck mounted on the Ultravision Chassis?
Does anyone have more shots of LA County's Wards from 1972 OR 1974?
Here's a few more for you Dave. One of 2 1977 1250/1000's that Senaca Falls NY had back in the fall of 2001. This one was OOS and trying to be sold, due to it's high pressure pump failing.
This is the other one. It was gone also,as of a couple of years ago. You can the toll NY State winters were taking on them.
Last one for tonight is this 1971 750/750 from Magee NY, also in the Finger Lakes region. This one was the only engine running from their station 2. It formerly served at Union ?? NY. Some IN WLF's(which are rare birds!). Van Buren Twp FD protects two townships on the west side of Bloomington IN, including the Monroe County airport, and the community of Stanford. This 1979, 1500/1000 Ambassador was rebuilt by Summit in 1992, and operated as a rescue-pumper until replaced in 2004. It now serves the small town of Gosport IN in Owen county. I have yet to find someone who can drive it at Gosport!
Loogootee IN supposedly bought this 1970 1000/750 WLF brand new. They ran it until 1998, when it was replaced by a 1982 Pierce Arrow from Brentwood LINY.

This one has a story behind it. It's a 1974 WLF that was rebuilt by McGinley of Lebanon IN in 1995. It's a 1250/750, and was bought by Princeton IN from McGinley,in 1996, as an emergency replacement for a dead 900series ALF. They were told it originally served Gary IN,or "somewhere up near there". Niether I,nor Kent, nor anyone else I know has been able to find a serial #.
Last one for tonight is a 1972 85ft Hi-Ranger that originally served at Excelsior H&L of Freeport LINY, before being found by Ron Bogardus up in Wilton ME just last year.
The twin rigs from Seneca Falls are 80-1483 and 80-1486. One was delivered 5/25/77, the other 11/22/77. The list shows them to be 1250/750, but I can't say that the list is 100%.
The Magee rig could be 80-569, originally delivered to Union Center, NY. Van Buren Township is 80-1657. Loogootee doesn't show on the list, could be one of the rigs shown for Indianapolis, maybe 80-438. The Princeton rig...... Gary had one, but it was a 1976 (80-1400). If you are sure that it's a 1974, then it could be 80-1018 from Michigan City or 80-1027 from Valparaiso.
Thanks Dave. The tank size can always be off; there's just no way to tell for sure. As for the Magee and Loogootee rigs, if those serial #'s match the years, you're most likely right.
The Princeton rig is registered and titled as a 1974, but all ID'ing marks/plates are long gone, so there's no way to tell for sure. It's been so heavily rebuilt, that there are probably no visual clues left on it to try and match it up with another pic. I'm wanting to get in contact w/ Mr McGinley anyway about some background info on his company, so maybe he can tell me for sure.

That is actually a MARS (888 Fame) Siren. They tried to copy Federal but didn't fare too well. It had a Slow build-up and was a Low Tone.
Here is Apache Jct, Az Ward LaFrance. Sorry but I have lost the information on this one. However, in the Mohave Valley, Az thread, you can see what it became. I believe it was traded into to the local E\-One dealer here in Phoenix called Canyon State Emergency Products at the time when Apache Jct purchased their E\-One urban interface rig. It was inturn bought by Golden Shores, Az and had E\-One do a Glider rebuild. You can see it brand new from the rebuild and then lettered for Golden Shores in the thread mentioned above.

Does anyone out there have any info as to what happened to Mobile Al's old WLF Ambassador ?? I never got the SN of the rig, I believe she was a 1973 Model I know she served as E-9 then as E-8.
