I don't rember who it was, I did not work for them for another few years.

The Chief of the PNSY FD and the Volunteer company I ran with at that time were brothers! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />



But, those Stang guns are tricky to work sometimes!

I think the photo collection was from Jack Robrect, but there was no name attached to any of the photos.

I am always keeping an Eye out for photos from the SE PA area.

I too remember going to those early Philly musters along the Delaware. Funny, we probably walked right past one another. I have some pics that my father took at the muster. I remember Camden's "New" Hahn tiller being there, and some other rigs. I'll have to find those pics and post them. I also remember the last Philly Muster that they had back in '89 in front of the Fire Administration building, (way before they started having them again at the PFD Academy). I met the late Tom Wanstall there, he had just come out with his book "FIRE! At war with the Red Devil". He autographed it for me, nice guy.

Funny you mention that... I remember too walking up and down in front of Fire Headquarters (Admin) on Spring Garden Street too... I am SURE we must have passed some where in our travels. I am glad they started the muster again... BUT it's not the same as walking Delaware Ave with the engines drafting out of the river... AH Those good Old Days!

The last aerialscope, a 1986 Mack 75 foot version, was disposed of during December 2004. This unit was assigned to Ladder 6 prior to being rehabbed and reassigned to Ladder in October 1998.

The 1986 Mack aerialscope was reassigned from Ladder 6 to Ladder 4. I left out the "4" in my previous message.

I would venture to say that it can't be in too good a shape. The city disposed of it in December 2002, about four months prior to Ladder 4 being assigned the 2005 ALF tiller they're currently equipped with. If there was any life left in the tower, the city would have kept it going until the new apparatus arrived prior to junking it.
