Engine 1, Corry, PA Seagrave Optioneer 1000/500
I never heard of Corry, Pa, so I put Google to work. On their website, they have 2 houses and run 2 pumpers (no truck) driver only after one of the drivers dispatches the alarm. WOW. Who answers the radio after the driver leaves? Is this a norm in this area? I know Reading has staffing issues, but this makes them looked fully staffed. What if no volunteers arrive at the scene? Are other departments on their boxes? Later.

bandit,
Corry has quite a few more rigs than you have listed. They have 4 engines, 1 ladder, and 1 rescue. I'm not sure what site you were at. I've posted a link to their station site below. It has photos. www.corryfire.com

Rescue 44, Westwood Fire Company, Valley Township, PA Ford C/Bruco 750/750
GA Dave, Info on this rig. Bruce 1985 Ford C-8000/Bruco, canopy cab, 1000/750. This piece had a couple firsts in the company. It was the first unit ordered with a canopy cab and with the distinct paint scheme of white over "Smurf Blue", Cat 3208 diesel, automatic, 5 KW generator. Chassis purchased from Wolfe Motors of Lancaster. It was housed on 9/26/86 as an attack unit, but was converted to a rescue-pumper in 1990. It was said that this piece was the last complete unit built by Bruco which went into the rebuild only business. Sold on 11/4/05 with the 1979 Ford C/Bruco pumper-tanker for $45,000 in total for both to the Stewart County Fire Department, TN. Went south on 11/17/05. In 2006, owned by the District 11 FD (Carol County, TN), still lettered for Westwood.

Engine 44-1, Westwood Fire Company, Valley Township, PA Ford C/Bruco 750/2200
GA Dave, Info on this rig. Bruce 1979 Ford CT-8000/Bruco, full cab, 1000/2200, tandem axle pumper-tanker. It was the first piece ordered with the new white over red paint scheme, Cat 3208 diesel, automatic, 4 KW generator. Chassis purchased from Wolfe Motors of Lancaster. It was housed on 6/14/80. It was rehabed and repainted after 1985. In 1992 the cab was rehabed and converted to a 4-door by Bruco which produced a rather unique looking Ford C cab. Tank leaking bad in late 2004. The tank was welded by a local welding shop in 1/05, placed back into service on 2/4/05. Sold on 11/4/05 with the 1985 Ford C/Bruco rescue-pumper for $45,000 in total for both to the Stewart County Fire Department, TN. Went south on 11/19/05. It was put up on E-Bay for sale in 07/07 by Stewart County.
