Couple of questions Dave... I thought Atlanta T11 was disbanded to form T15? Is this a newly re-organized company? And is Milwaukee Reserve Rescue 2 from a disbanded 2nd rescue company? Thanks in advance. Larry

Larry: The 2008 was purchased with grant money and the plan was to put a second rescue company on the North Side. As budgets go, the money for staffing never materialized and the unit never went into service as R-2. The 2005 is now a dedicated spare. At least that is what we were told last week when we were there.

Milwaukee's R-1 is cross staffed when needed, not a regularly manned daily company (correct?)
Dave, Did you go Digital ?
Quote:Great photos... Thanks! Couple of answers Larry... You are correct. The developer of the Atlantic Station complex funded this rig and a KME pumper for new Station 11 that hasn't been built. Mayor Franklin eliminated the staffing for Station 1 with her cutbacks. I'm not sure what will happen with the rigs upon delivery. Atlanta does final inspection on the Pierce next week. The KME is about ready too. I've heard a rumor that the Pierce will go to T-15, but I don't think the developer would be too happy about that. Milwaukee Rescue 2 served as Rescue 1 until the new rig arrived in 2008. It is kept as a fully equipped reserve. I just found the specs on the Clark County Pierce that I posted earlier: Engine 65, Clark County, NV 2008 Pierce Quantum 1500/750/25CAFS Quote:Dave, Did you go Digital ? NO! Mechanical engineers build weapons, whereas civil engineers build targets.
When the man at the door said," Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms", I, naturally assumed it was a delivery! |
