John,

Good to hear from you, thanks. That Rescue was CLEAN!! To look at the back end and not notice the chassis was an '88, you would never had guessed. I had the actual milage, but, ready for this? My dog ate the booklet..... Where was she when I was in school? I will be going back up to Ashland this weekend, and I will try to get the milage.

The Peru engine: Garrison Fire sold it, one of the last ALF's coming in here. When I was there to shoot the new East Jewett ETA, I saw this rig. They were so kind to let me know when it was lettered and ready to go. A trip to Peru would be a longie from here.

Peru FD has a mix of red/white, red/black, Blue/White. So this rig kinda tied all that together.... Bogie has some of their other stuff. I'll see if I can get them.

Have a good summer, maybe our paths will cross again. Be Safe. Joe.

Joe, my teacher never bought that excuse about the dog eating my homeework, and I don't buy it now! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Hysterical' /> I would love to hit some departments in your area, so maybe we can set soemthing up.

If you think the Peru trip would be a long one for you, think about GA Dave's trip up there! I'll meet you in Albany, Dave and we can make the drive together. There are lots of departments I need to hit up there.

If you guys wait until May then I can drive down and meet you. Albany is only 3.5 hours from Montreal. If you guys are driving shooting rigs North of there, even better. If you want to add Montreal and area- I am your tour guide.

Peru's Line-up is a combo of white over blue, black over blue, blue with black trim, all black and all blue.

They started the change from all red to white over blue in 1988 with the purchased of thier Pierce Lance and then began the move towards the black and blue scheme with the purchase of thier Blue w/Black trim ALF tanker and the all black brush trucks in the 2000's. The 2010 ALF is the first with a true black over blue paint scheme. I had my doubt's about this color scheme at first, but that all change when I saw the truck up close. It looks really good!

If you guys come up to Clinton County let me know I'll do my best to be available.

Mike, Thanks for the info on Peru FD. I'd like to see/shoot the whole dept. at some point. Clinton Co would be interesting for me, just a couple of hours away. I may take you up your offer!

I tried to shoot Montreal and Quebec City.... that lasted all of 5 minutes when I remembered I don't speak French and (it appears) that no one spoke english at any of the fire departments I went to. It was pretty funny time though!!

Thats because the official language of this province and city is French. You need an English speaking guide (bilingual) like myself.
