Coral Gables Fire Rescue Miami-Dade County, FL Ladder-1 2004 E\-One Bronto 174' Photo by: Alex M. Poitevien Jr.
I am not familiar with these i see two doors. is this a two person truck? or is there another crew door on the captain side. nice pictures also.
Josh,
Not too many of these units were made. This was actually a demo, that wasn't sold until I believe 2006 or 2007. I don't think there is a door on the other side. I know there are other people on here that have photographed it, maybe they can show an officer side, or somebody with more info could give a run down on staffing.

Thanks for posting it!
I know South Padre Island,TX has a huge Bronto on a Pierce chassis, then the one at Coral Gables. Any others?

Just some Bronto info:
The 167' Bronto is a different design than the 174'. The 167' is a multi-section articulating type with the basket hanging off the rear. The 174' has a telescopic main boom with one articulating section before the basket. In the travel position, the basket sits right behind the cab.
Pacific chasis 12 wheels for the 167 and freightliner 6 wheel for the rest of the bronto fleet, except the ex St. Laurent this one was on a Simon duplex 10 wheels chasis. At this time only 4 bronto are in service in Montréal. A rumor for a purchase of 4 new in the year to come.
Well i by doing a google search i found the Texas ladder you were talking about and all i have to say is WOW. here is the site i found it on.
