Here are some rigs I have photographed during the later part of the year and a few older photos. First up is Frisco's new Ambulance bus. This is the 2nd of possibly 5 buses to be distributed to area Fire Depts in North Texas to be used at Mass Casualty incidents, covering special events or be deployed to other areas for use as well. The Fire Depts who have these are in charge of staffing them and maintaining them. The buses are paid for with state funds. Each bus can house/treat 20 patients. This is a project of the Texas Emergency Medical Task Force Project/ Texas Dept. of Health. The cities are also reimbursed for expenses incurred during deployments. I believe it is similar to the State's USAR Task Force groups. The bus itself is a 2011 Thomas/Sartin.
Here is an internal shot looking from front to rear. The front Rt and Lt sides have work and storage spaces and the bed spaces can be adjusted.
I went shooting rigs with my good friend Ingo Pappenfuss and his wife Sylvia in Sept. Here are some rigs we photographed. First up is Garland's Truck 7, a 2007 Pierce Arrow XT, 75 ft/1500/500.
Sachse is a Dallas suburb with a population of 20,000. They have 2 stations and are a paid dept. This 1988 E\-One Hurricane 1250/500 is a reserve engine.
Sachse Truck 1 is a 2004 ALF, 75 ft/1250/300/30f.
Rowlett, a suburb city next to Sachse, has population of 55,000 and has a paid dept that mans 4 stations. They also provide EMS for the city. One of the reserve engines is this 1997 FL/E-One, 1250/500/50A.
