What is the connection to South Carolina? Is that where it was shot?

Thank you to everyone for the corrections on the Long Island trucks, the kido's didn't allow for proper information gathering.

Ashland FD, Greene Co. NY. Ashland suffered a distasterous fire in Jan 2010, losing all 4 Fire Apparatus and a new Ambulance, as well as their Station.

Since then, the Ambulance has been replaced, an ETA has graciously been loaned to them by the Catskill Fire District(Greene Co.) and, the Onondaga Indian Reservation has given them this 1988 Ford F700/E-One Heavy Rescue, (it's immaculate, I might add.)

Plans are in the works to rebuild the Fire Station/Town Hall and new Engine and ETA will be replacing the lost units.

Not when that pumper was built. It was built in Bluefield, VA at the Kersey-ALF factory in 1990. ALF didn't have a factory in South Carolina until 1998.

Nice shots of both trucks, Joe. I can't imagine the Onondaga Indian Nation rescue truck has many miles on it, as I have the impression that's a pretty quiet department. And the Peru truck is worthy of a road trip just to shoot that one!

John,

Good to hear from you, thanks. That Rescue was CLEAN!! To look at the back end and not notice the chassis was an '88, you would never had guessed. I had the actual milage, but, ready for this? My dog ate the booklet..... Where was she when I was in school? I will be going back up to Ashland this weekend, and I will try to get the milage.

The Peru engine: Garrison Fire sold it, one of the last ALF's coming in here. When I was there to shoot the new East Jewett ETA, I saw this rig. They were so kind to let me know when it was lettered and ready to go. A trip to Peru would be a longie from here.

Peru FD has a mix of red/white, red/black, Blue/White. So this rig kinda tied all that together.... Bogie has some of their other stuff. I'll see if I can get them.

Have a good summer, maybe our paths will cross again. Be Safe. Joe.

Here's East Jewett FD, Greene County..(Got over 6 feet of snow last weekend!) ETA 9-1, 2010 Freightliner M-2,/ Ferrara, j/n=H4393. 1000(PTO Pump-Hale PSD-100)/1500/0

Thanks a bunch for the Peru rig. I was curious to see how it would look all lettered up.

The blue looks much brighter with the sun on it.
