Hey Guys!! Long time, No post... lol!! I was finally able to get out today for the first time in weeks... Weather related. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/machinegun.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Machinegun' />

Today and tomorrow features the 2nd Annual Police, Fire & Security Expo at the Palm Beach County Convention Center... Myself and Brian (sully) attended today and found it to be 99.9% Police orientated... lol!! Several different police agencies and municipalities within the state were present, I can't say the same for fire rescue... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/shrug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Shrug' /> Although surprisingly Jacksonville Fire Rescue displayed their Emergency Operations Command tractor-trailer, and of course it was inside <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banghead.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Banghead' /> but aside of that, it was pretty boring.

Before heading home, we shot couple unique pieces... As most of you may know Palm Springs Fire Rescue will be absorbed by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue come October 1, 2009 myself and Brian (sully) made a special trip to Station-39 and shot both rigs... Special thanks to the guys on shift today <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Alex, it's a good thing you got a shot of these when you did. Come October, Lake Worth's will also become part of the County so if you want them, you need to get them. Let me know when and if you decide to go there. Their ladder truck will be "going away" when the County takes over.

I saw the tractor for that piece at our motor pool a couple weeks ago. Did you get any inside shots of it?

Dave,

Unfortunately I did not... The tractor was in one spot and the trailer was in another.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue operates two identical brush trucks through out the county, Brush-1 at Station-16 in Homestead and Brush-2 at Station-61 near the Miccosukee Gaming & Resort. Built by Pierce, both are equipped with a 200 gpm pump, 1000 gal. water tank and 10 gal. foam tank.

Delivered back in 2007, below is Miami-Dade "Metro" Brush-1.

Alex,

Nice Miami-Dade shots. I was hoping to get a Unimog brush when we down, but you know how that went when we were at 16. lol
