Nice shots of KC Metro. I didnt have a chance to stop by Consolidated FD, I wanted to. Do you have a shot of their Pierce Pumper at that house? Or any other of their rigs?
Both were purchased during the time that OPFD did not purchase Federal Q2b sirens. Six units were purchased without Q sirens 1990-1997 in 1999 the Q siren returned.
The other not pictured is Engine 422-reserve kept at FH2
Fire District Two (South County) protecting southern Johnson County and northern Mimi County. They operate four fire houses in Johnson County. DO NOT CONFUSE WITH CFD#2 in NE JOHNSON COUNTY.
2009 Pierce Impel PUC 75ft CAFS Quint (first ladder for South County)
Quint 84
(Four Pierce Impel PUC-topmount CAFS Engines were also purchased)

Hi Phil,
I only have the chief's buggy. I should have more I live six blocks from 2's and nine blocks from 3's and work with them at fires all the time. My buddy is Captain at 3's and I stopped by to talk and the Truck was out for the daily checks but the Engine was filling at 1's. I will grab some soon and post.
The Dash at 3's is nice a little too large for a pumper but nice. Those Rescue Bodys are really large and CFD#2 does not carry enough equipment to fill them since the run real Truck Company's. They are going to return to small pumpers this next round with side mounted ladders.
Olathe, Kansas Fire Department taken 1994 at Fire House Three, Engine 7-reserve and EOD 3
Odd Shot of 1980 Pierce Arrow and 1983 Braun EOD unit.
Olathe Purchased two Pierce Arrows in 1980 one had an 8V71 and the other had a 6V71 with only Q2b's and two Federal Power Lights NO electronic siren.
The 8V was Engine 1 and had lots of Gold Leaf (in reserve Engine 6)
The 6V was Engine 2 and barely had any Gold Leaf and later no ID lettering or logos completly blank (in reserve Engine 7).
The 1983 Braun was used by Olathe as an Ambulance from 1983-1984 and then given to the county EMS as Olathe stopped responding to EMS. Then in 1989 it was returned to Olathe and used as the EOD unit until 1999-2000.
Inspector 1 (51) responds from Fire House 3 as Investigator/Safety Officer. INSP 1 responds to MVAs, Fire, Car Fire, Major Medical and also conducts fire inspections and investigations.
The three Fire Inspectors used to work 40hrs at Fire Headquarters. In 2008 the department determinded they needed a 24 hour fire investigator and safety officer. So each of the three inspectors was placed on A,B,C shift and now responds from Station 3 where their office/bunk is located. That is why the unit is not Red with normal strip. All staff cars are white and Any emergency vehicle Red or White over Red.
Now the Fire Marshal and one Senior Fire Inspector with two part-time Inspectors work from Fire Headquarters.
