Mack/Saulsbury (?) Rescue Truck

Goodwill Fire Company

Enhaut, Pa

Dauphin County

This piece started life as an engine from New York City, the frame was stretched and this rescue body mounted on it... though I can't remember the maker of the body.

This was for sale on E-Bay a while back. Anyone know where it went, and for how much?

Ed,

I think it is still there. They were having trouble selling it. The rig sagged very badly in the middle. Very unique though.

Dave,

Cochranville's Hahn engine was donated to the New Lancaster Valley Fire Company, here in Mifflin County, PA. A new color added to the county roster.

Sterling/New Lexington Tanker

Upper Burrell Fire Department

Allegheny County

[/quote]

The tank and body originally were on a Louisville Ford. That chassis had a tank only on it. It was sent to New Lexington and they mounted a pump, new tank and body on it 1989-1991, somewhere in that period. Then it was sent back to New Lexington to be re-chassised with the current Sterling chassis. This is still in service.

EUREKA FIRE RESCUE

TARENTUM PA.

ALLEGHENY COUNTY ENGINE 281

1970 ALF/ REHABED BY KENCO 2000GPM / 500TANK/ 20 CLASS A AND 150 CLASS B FOAM

It's replacement is at Kenco. Another great engine, soon to be replaced. This was accomplished through the award of a grant through the AFG. The old American LaFrance and Macks prove that the great old trucks were truly built to last.

WILL BE REPLACED FIRST PART OF 2009
