Engine 9 has a story to it. Engine 9 is housed at Fire Station 16 with Engine 16 and mentioned before was Engine 216. Well at one time Station 9 and Station 16's districts borderd each other and both were in need of new stations so instead of building two new houses they built one new house on the border of both districts when the house was done Engine 9 moved in and was renumberd to Engine 216 they were the only two car in the county that had there own district. Engineer Jimmy Howe who was killed in the line of duty sometime ago was assigned to Engine 9 and those who knew him had been pressing the department to renumber the engine. So just a few months ago the okay was given and Engine 216 was given its old number again.
