Looks like it says D5 on the front plate. Does anyone know what year the Dodge Diplomats that were used for the Divisio Chiefs were?

There were 2 of these 1970 Macks bought. Both had articulating Squrts. One remained as was and becam a Foam Engine assigned to Engine 154 in Staten Island. The thought was it would help but a foam blanket on a storage tank fire IF needed. The other was damaged in an accident and the Telesqurt was added. It went to Engine 70 on City Island, Bronx, to allow the city to close Ladder 53. The "small" ladder would allow coverage of the ladder being closed.

Some units that had the 2 squrts over the years were

Engine 43, 70, 71, 310 and FOAM Engine 154. I do not have the list as to where the rigs started and what order they were then assigned.

Maybe FDNY Trucks (MIKE M) could give the run down...

Division 5 used to be quartered with 80 Engine and 23 Truck. They were eventually disbanded and 80/23 are now part of the 6th Division.
The only MARC in 46 ENGINE!

This is a former tractor to a tiller rig. A bunch of these old Mack's were purchased around 1969 to repower older aerials. This one wound up as a wrecker late in it's career.

The only other Mack MB chassis that was kept for a "second life" was one that became the HIGH EX FOAM UNIT> or HI-EX FOAM. This was kept at Engine 212 before being replaced with a 1979 Mack CF. It was to become THE LAST CF MACK Engine in the FDNY and just sold off.
