Nice pics, Patrick! I had a good day, until the heat exhaustion kicked me! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wacko' />

According to all the Ligonier info I have, this is a 1957. Their 100 yr. history is pretty clear that the rig was ordered in 1/57, and delivered 9/57.

Bolivar's IH/Pierce is a 1972, I'M pretty sure.

It's always nice to go to an area that isn't all Pierce customs or "Walmart" rigs.

West Point had some bad luck 2 nites before our visit, the latest round of bad t-storms struck their area, closing a bridge into the community. The 93 Duplex engine was actually OOS with wreck damage on the passenger side of the cab, this also happened during the storm.

You are probably right about the Dryridge rig as I recall their members explaining that it carried the rescue equipment.
Reply
The Dryridge FL does go by Rescue 91 and Bolivars IH goes by Tanker 89
Reply
Sorry guys. The man moving the rigs told me it was Brush 91.

The Bolivar Chief told me the IHC engine when by engine and the CF that is being rehabed went by tanker.

Warren I hope you are feeling better. You looked pretty bad.

Is that a fake grill on the Emlenton tower? Or just a refurb add-on?

Pat, if I am not mistaken the squad was built by New Lexington. It replaced a 1990 Ford C-model built by 4-Guys. The squad should have a small tank and pump on it.

Ed,

Emlenton's Squad is for sure a Crimson. One of the first ones, built. As for the pump, I did not see one on it.

Yes it is a Crimson. They have another smaller Squad that was out of service and unable to photograph.
