CFD is the Chief of the Department. In that case, Chief Jenkerson STLFD. I do not know the stats on any of the Kinloch rigs. They are not the best of departments to hang around. I grabbed these shots from my car. Sorry, they all are hand me down rigs, so maybe somebody has info from their past? I think the Seagrave engine once served the Mehville FPD in South St Louis County, appears to be their setup. I have some shots posted from around Kinloch over in the "All Other Photos" section. Just some photos showing the city
Hey everybody! I got some sneak outside the fence shots of the new Haz-Mat 3 in the new colors, the decon trailer(or so it seems) and BC 804's new buggy! First up is the new 804. Brand new '09 chevy tahoe.
Next, i went from the shops to FD headquarters on advice of my dad that the new hazmat 3 was parked there. It is beautiful!
Here is a shot i took for the front view from Cass Ave. with mt 75-300 lens. I didn't want to be a bother so I got the pictures i could get. I'm sure ALL the new stuff will be at the Rally this year!
Is Black-over-Red going to be the new St. Louis colors, for all apparatus?

Well.... I know for a fact that our 2 new Smeal 125' rearmounts are going to be red-over-black.... It looks like it... I kinda like it especially with that little bit of golden/yellow in the middle. there are rumors of new pumpers (Straight engines!!!! no ladders!) Maybe we will see a little more monitor dumping! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/machinegun.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Yeah...part of decon.....this is a portable shower. They told us they are going to call this HazMat 4. The rear portion of HazMat 3 is kind of interesting....where you see the window and all the lettering is an area for the team to get suited up. Doesnt seem like there is a lot of room to get 2 or 3 guys donning Level A suits, SCBAs, and thier helpers. I kind of thought they would have made the whole thing storage. That would have been enough room to move almost al the stuff off of HazMat 2 (the old beat down wore out Rescue 2). Still a nice rig. Other than the little room in the back, it is identical to the collapse rescue Strik Force truck. Im kind of riding the fence about the new color scheme. Some of you know I lived up by Chicago for 12 years, and I'm a HUGE Chicago Fire Dept. buff. So in that respect it would be cool if we had black over red. Still I like StLFDs tradition of solid red.....either way I think all the new rigs coming will be awsome. Ben is right on the money, two new Hook&Ladders coming...the first should be here in a week or two....the 2nd to follow soon after. Black over red. Word on the street is the first one will come to H&L 15. Now what Im about to tell you at this point is not official.......just here say, but it did come from pretty reliable sources......... ALL of the Hook&Ladders (eventually one in each district) will be numbered according to what district they are in. ie. H&L 2 will be H&L 1......H&L 6 will be H&L 2....and yes (sob) H&L 15 will be H&L 5......... what Im also hearing is the other new H&L will goto what will be H&L 1, and the old H&L 2 will go downtown and replace H&L 6 as the new H&L 2. That way they get a more reliable apparatus, downtown still has a tower ladder, and they wont even have to renumber the apparatus. Im personally not crazy about renumbering them...especially since H&L 15 has been in the same house since they went in service, but I guess thats the change of the times. I wish I had my camera to take pics of all the command vehicles staged for the all star game....we had StLFD, several area police/sherriff depts., FBI, Postal Inspector, Department of Energy, US Border/Customs......a ton more....For the most part I was on a survey team walking thru the ball park w/a radiation meter. It probably would have made Secret Service a little edgy if I was snapping pics all over instead of keeping the president safe from al quida.......lol
Are the new H&L's and Pumpers going to be Smeals?
