How about some senic shots?
The next town up from me has several state parks. This is the manor house, somewhat obscured by the fall foliage, at Ringwood State Park. Ringwood Manor was one of George Washington's HQ's and is the center of the iron mining industry that thrived here from the Revolution through the 1950's.

Very near Ringwood Manor is Skylands Manor. Skylands Manor also figures prominently in the history of what is known as the Highlands region. Now it is the NJ State Botanical Gardens.

I'm really blessed with living where I do. As much as I hate the winter I love the fall. The colors are just incredible. I was out last fall (2008) on my Gold Wing riding through my favorite park, Harriman/Bear Mountain State Park in NY, and got these great photos. First is Lake Kanawaukee, along 7 Lakes Drive.

After riding through the park I went to the top of Bear Mountain. This is Perkins Memorial Tower. It's a forest fire tower, manned only when needed. However it is open to the public and the views on a clear day are spectacular. I didn't get any shots from the tower this day as there were quite a few people here (for a weekday).

On the way back home I stopped along 7 Lakes Drive to get these two shots. It was awfully hard having to go to work for the 4pm-12am shift after being outside all day on a day like this one!

I'll second that, I attended high school in Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY and as you said the fall and spring time in that area is very nice, some very awesome and scenic country.

A heron, I believe I spent about the better part of an 1.5 hrs watching and shooting this damn bird. Most of the time it was over 100 yards away, and my max lens is only 210mm which didn't quite get me as close as I'd like. Thinking about getting a tele-converter, but not sure that will do the trick or not.
