I believe before the collector got the pumper, they removed the motor and tranny form the tractor.

I beleive your right. Jim Dobson is who owns it now, a few years ago when much of his collection was out doors, I met him. Very nice man with a huge collection. He drove trucks and would stop if he saw one on the side of the road purchase it throw it on the flat bed and haul it back to Bay City, MI. Most of his collection is from MI.



Anyways he tried to get the tender as well, but it was sold just before he got there to pick it up. Supposedly he told them he wanted both but something got mixed up and he only ended up getting the pumper.



Now about four years ago he was getting ready to restore the pumper and I beleive he took the engine and tranny out of one of his rigs and put it in the pumper. He has about 75 rigs (estimated) 90% of those are now indoors including the super pumper. He has a museum that is opened on weekends I think.



I'll look somewhere I have a PIC of it I took a few years ago.

Yes. The job will put our company patches on the rigs, and we do everything else.

Engine 201 removed the gold stripes from their 2003 rig and replaced them with green and orange stripes...so it's now green/white/orange...the colors of the Irish flag...talk about one of a kind!!! As far as adding lights and sirens, that is frowned upon as it can void Seagrave's 5-year warranty...after the warranty period is over, the Q's start appearing, but other than that, electrical modifications are frowned upon.

He is retired now about 6 years or so. His name is Carl A. (E-33)



He is the same guy that re-did TL-9's new 95' truck before it was displayed at the re-opening of the fire house and the officers of the companies got jammed up. It had the Channel 9 news 9 on it then Carl got to...Say no more.

WOW.......The guy in the middle with the jeans on is 42 Engine's senior man, Wally Hyde. Currently driving the 19th Battalion. Guy to the right of him (also in the jeans) is George LoMedico, I believe he's either on light duty or just retired.
